Black Hills Pow Wow

The He Sapa Wacipi Na Oskate (Black Hills Powwow and Expo) 2025 On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Black Hills Powwow Association, I invite you to come and enjoy the 37th Annual Black Hills Powwow slated for October 10-11-12, 2025, at the Summit Arena at The Monument. The theme for many years for the Black Hills Powwow has been “Come Dance With Us.” We want everyone to feel welcome and to enjoy the beauty of Great Plains indigenous song and dance. Every year we have championship singers and dancers come from many nations. This year the dance categories will have 7 places in each category and the “Champions of the Northern Plains” singing contest is paying out 10 places for a total $59,000 in prizes and our total prize payout will be over $150,000! (The most in the history of the powwow)

The Black Hills Powwow has become one of the premier American Indian cultural events in the United States, attracting thousands of dancers, singers, artisans and several thousand spectators from across several U.S. states, Canadian provinces and beyond. In addition to the powwow, spectators have the opportunity to enjoy a fine arts show, He Sapa Win pageant, style show, vendors, wellness symposium for youth, and tournaments for hand games, golf, and archery.
