This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and sanctioned by the Fencing League of America (FLA), All fencers must to hold a current AAU athlete membership.

SERIES FORMAT

Each event will grant you SEASON POINTS according to your place. The top 3 results out of the 4 events will be added together. The athletes with the best combined results from the series (per age & weapon) will become the SEASON CHAMPIONS and will make history by permanently adding their names to the SMC CUP & their faces to the SMC wall of fame.

RATINGS

Ratings will awarded by Fencing League of America including youth events.

INITIAL SEEDING will be determined by FLA ratings. Check your current rating at http://www.fencingleagueofamerica.org 

Make a free FLA account using your AAU number and check your ratings and your FLA tournament history.

FORMAT

All events will use the AAU National Fencing format. (Pools-Direct Elimination)
If necessary, events could be combined by gender.
All events require a minimum of 5 participants to be rated
All entrants should check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their event.

AWARDS
(1) Gold, (1)Silver and (2) Bronze medals will be awarded to the top four finishers in each event. Additional awards will be given all the way to 8th place.

-6 & under/Y-6 (2016-2017)
-8 & under/Y-8 (2014-2015)
-10 & under/Y-10 (2012-2013)
-12 & under/Y-12 (20010-2011)
-14 & under/Y14 (2008-2009)
-CADET (2006-2007)
-JUNIOR (2003-2005)

Athletes 12 and younger are allowed to participate in ONE age group above their own. Athletes 13 or older are allowed to participate above their age group all the way to SNR.

Although we coordinate our efforts from our national office in Orlando,

The Fencing League of America (FLA) uses a "state based" structure... and what does that mean? It means that we want to make sure that our athletes have access to the most important events and tournaments within their own states, without having to travel all over the country to qualify for our national championship. This system allows fencers to limit their travel within their home state, they only travel across states for the national championships once a year, and thus making it easier, safer and much more affordable.

The Fencing League of America (FLA) is also committed to helping clubs and coaches achieve their goals, both "athletic" and "professional". We want to make sure we are a helping hand.

Nobody knows how to run your own business better than yourself. We are doing this for the coaches, the clubs and the fencers, we want to hear your needs and suggestions and turn them into practical applications that make the sport better.

We believe in a small upstairs and a big basement.
