Welcome to the State Basketball Championship!
On the weekends of February 27 -March 1, 2026 and March 6-8, 2026, the top teams in the state will meet in Ann Arbor/Brighton to battle it out for the 5th Annual Michigan Middle School Basketball Championship.  After a long regular season playing against other teams in your area, State Basketball Championship offers teams the shot to compete against fresh faces from all corners of the state. This is not your ordinary league tournament, but rather the chance of a lifetime for all kids... "Remember the time we went to State!?!"

Championship Overview

Two Championship divisions - "School/Travel" and "Club".  Both divisions offer exciting competition for Boys and Girls grades 3-8.
All teams play a minimum of 4 games. Some will play 5 games.
Play begins as early as 5pm Friday and the latest Sunday games will tip off at 4:45pm.
Entry fees are regularly $450 per team, however early sign up and multiple team discounts are available.

State Basketball Championship - Boys

Since 2012, State Basketball Championship has operated the largest qualifier-based youth tournaments in the nation.  We connect the hundreds of independent youth leagues and tournaments in each state to offer exciting, winter season-ending competitions for young athletes. 

Our annual tournaments have taken root in twelve states across the USA with more than 18,000 players nationwide.
