About American Lung Association Trek Across Maine

Starting Fri, Jun 19th - Sun, Jun 21st, 2026

15 Farm View Dr, New Gloucester, ME 04260, USA

THE 42nd ANNUAL TREK ACROSS MAINE: Join the American Lung Association for the 42nd annual Trek Across Maine on Father’s Day Weekend – June 19-21, 2026! Choose our traditional 3-day, 180-mile option, or do it your own way, virtually.

The ride starts and ends at the scenic Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine, with acres of lush woods and beautiful farmland. While riding the Trek you will travel through the rolling hills of central Maine, riding through many memorable Maine towns, including Freeport, with views of the wild lupines and serene Maine lakes and rivers along the way. Overnight stops at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine, provide a place to rest and relax after each leg of the Trek. Activities, entertainment and food are all a part of the full Trek experience at each location.

Our ride is fully equipped with volunteers, local and state law enforcement, and support vehicles along the route. There are three rest stops daily with fresh snacks and drinks for you to refuel before continuing your ride.

VIRTUAL OPTION – for those that can’t get away but still want to raise money and support the American Lung Association! Record your miles virtually and raise your minimum by June 30, 2026, to earn your commemorative t-shirt and medal!

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of a brand-new Gravel Ride presented by Pinebury to the 2026 Trek Across Maine! On Sunday, June 21, riders can take on either a 25-mile or 50-mile gravel route, starting and ending at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester.

Gravel riders will also get the full Trek experience—they’ll cross the finish line alongside the participants completing the 3-day Trek Across Maine, making for a truly unforgettable celebration to close out the weekend.

Whether you’re new to gravel riding or a seasoned adventurer, this new option brings fresh excitement to our 42nd annual event.
