Spring Reign is one of the largest mixed-gender youth ultimate tournaments in the world, featuring age divisions for middle school (grades 6–8) and high school (grades 9–12). The event brings together school-based teams from Washington, British Columbia, Manitoba, Oregon, Montana, and Idaho to celebrate youth Ultimate across the Northwest.

2026 Spring Reign - HS and MS

College men’s and women’s teams from British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Oregon will converge in Burlington, WA for an elite-level competition, with approximately 26–30 teams and around 700 athletes expected to participate. This invite-only event will showcase some of the top collegiate Ultimate programs in the region.

What’s this “ultimate” thing?

Ultimate is a fun and exciting team sport that is growing all around the country. It combines the athleticism of running and quick changes of direction with the skill of throwing – the disc flies like nothing else.

It can be played on grass or sand or indoors! Teams usually play 7 versus 7, but ultimate can be played with smaller teams too: 5 v. 5, 4 v. 4, and 3 v. 3 are also common variations.



USA Ultimate

Think you've got the stamina? Gnarly Gnines is a low key high-energy mixed Ultimate tournament where endurance meets fun. Teams play 9 games in 9 hours, to 9 points per game, testing their legs, lungs, and love for the sport. Each team has 5 female-matching and 5 male-matching players.
 
Games are played with 7 players on the field and gender ratio is maintained to 4:3 or 3:4. Smart subs and team chemistry are key. It’s a whirlwind of Ultimate, full of non-stop action, big plays, and the kind of exhaustion that somehow feels amazing. By the end, you will have stories.
 
Please bring your own water. Water will be onsite but limited and GG makes ye thirsty!

Players, families, and supporters can expect an exciting weekend of premier select-level soccer in one of the region’s most scenic venues. With top teams competing and a vibrant tournament atmosphere, the Skagit Firecracker Tournament continues to be one of the most anticipated soccer events of the summer. From July 31st to August 2nd, 1100 S Skagit St, Burlington, WA, will transform into the battleground for youth and high school soccer teams vying for glory. Games start at 9:00 AM on the first day, with teams traveling 3+ hours receiving an afternoon start time to ensure a smooth experience.

Skagit River Park (SRP) Sports Complex hosts 80 acres of picturesque multi-use playfields for a variety of sporting events and league play. Burlington's SRP is home to one of the largest natural grass field complexes in Washington State. The Sports Complex includes a concession building with covered shelter, picnic tables, restroom facilities, lighted parking and children's playground. Skagit River Park playfields are available for use with advanced reservation only.  Fields are open between early March to mid-November.
