Bowling Green is Kentucky's third-largest city and the county seat of Warren County, sitting along the Barren River in south-central Kentucky, about an hour north of Nashville and roughly two hours south of Louisville. Known as the "Corvette Capital of the World" — every Chevrolet Corvette in production has been built at the GM assembly plant here since 1981 — the city has grown into a regional hub for manufacturing, healthcare, and higher education, anchored by Western Kentucky University. Its central location along I-65 makes it an easy stop for visiting teams and families traveling from across the Midwest and Southeast.

The city's biggest visitor draw is the National Corvette Museum, a sprawling facility tracing the sports car's history and famous for its 2014 sinkhole collapse, now preserved as part of the exhibit. Just a few miles away, Lost River Cave offers boat tours through an underground river system, while the Historic RailPark & Train Museum, housed in a restored 1925 L&N depot, gives visitors a hands-on look at the region's railroad history. History and heritage sites round out the offerings, including the Kentucky Museum at WKU, the Civil War-era Riverview at Hobson Grove mansion, and the free Aviation Heritage Park honoring the area's flying aces.

Downtown Bowling Green centers on Fountain Square Park and the surrounding historic district, home to a growing collection of locally owned restaurants, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC) for concerts and shows, and Circus Square Park, which regularly hosts festivals and outdoor concerts. For evening and rainy-day entertainment, the city offers a solid lineup of bowling, axe throwing, escape rooms, mini golf, go-karts, roller skating, and trampoline parks, along with Beech Bend Park's rides and water park just outside town. Greenwood Mall and several open-air shopping centers cover retail needs, and Mammoth Cave National Park — the longest known cave system in the world — is less than 45 minutes away for a bigger day trip.

On the food side, Bowling Green punches above its weight for a city its size, with a strong barbecue scene, a growing number of authentic Mexican and Asian restaurants, and destination spots like Hickory & Oak and 440 Main for a nicer night out. Combined with its walkable downtown, central highway access, and manageable size, Bowling Green offers visiting teams and families an easy, well-rounded home base for a tournament weekend.
