About Rhode Island Sports Center

The RI Sports Center is the home of the John W. Kennedy Jr. memorial ice rink. The rink has been named in honor of the late John W. Kennedy Jr. who was a former hockey star at Norwich University and devoted 20 years of his time to youth hockey in East Providence and the Greater Providence Youth Hockey Association. This facility will also be a host for the annual John W. Kennedy Jr. Hockey Tournament. The generosity and support of the Kennedy family have enabled the RI Sports Center to make many renovations and improvements to the facility. The RI Sports Center thanks the Kennedy family for their generosity and involvement in this rink.
