Lawrence Community Building

Constructed in 1940, the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St., was originally designed as an armory. It now serves as a recreational and fitness facility for the entire Lawrence population. The building had been renovated since and has been a popular place for everything from playing basketball to holding a wedding reception.
