Aquinas College

Aquinas College is a NAIA college in Grand Rapids, MI and is home to the Alksnis Athletic & Recreation Building and Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center.

Alksnis Athletics & Recreation Building Opened in 2014, the Alksnis Athletics and Recreation Building is a 70,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility.

The facility features: • 200 meter, NCAA-certified track with all of the amenities for track and field events (1 long jump, 1 high jump, 2 pole vault and 1 shot put) • Turf infield with portable court for use of intramural and varsity teams • Wooden floor court for basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and dance • Practice areas for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, golf and intramurals • Extensive curtaining system will allow for multiple uses simultaneously • Seating capacity of 1,500

Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center

The facility features: • Reoriented basketball court (telescopic bleacher seating for 2,000) • Meeting spaces including a large conference room • Locker rooms • Fitness center • Athletic training facility with exam rooms and treatment areas
