Emmett Scott Recreation Center is surrounded by 10.3 acres of park space with great features like a walking trail, picnic areas and basketball courts. The historic McGirt Auditorium is also on the park property. The Emmett Scott Center consists of a gym, community room, craft room, classroom and game room.

Emmett Scott Center offers classes to get your muscles moving and your creative juices flowing. From hip hop dance to ceramics, there is always something to learn. An after school program for youth is offered during the school year as well as camps and outreach programs to provide role models and positive messages for these young people.
