Fruitville Park

This 23-acre neighborhood park features numerous athletic and outdoor recreational opportunities such as soccer and softball fields, tennis courts, a fitness trail and a playground.

The site became the property of Sarasota County in 1947. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, the park was overseen by the Fruitville Recreation Council, a citizen-led group composed of volunteers.
