Nathan Benderson Park

Nathan Benderson Park is a 600-acre multipurpose facility in Sarasota, Fla., and is a Sarasota County park operated and managed by a nonprofit organization, Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates Inc. NBP is home to is North America’s premier 2,000-meter sprint rowing and paddling course. The park is home to numerous other paddle sport competitions, from dragon boats to canoe and kayak races, as well as triathlon and cross country events.

NBP PRIORITIES • To establish and maintain a world-class multipurpose event center that will enable a return of investment to benefit taxpayers and the state of Florida • To be an Olympic-level training center for regional, national and international athletes • To promote a better quality of life through health and wellness by providing opportunities to walk, run, bike, row, fish and more • To provide an entry point into aquatic and sports programs through community outreach
