Grover Nelson Complex

The future of Abilene’s growing sports scene is evident at Nelson Park, located around the Abilene Zoo. The park features a five-field baseball complex, where each field has artificial turf and ample parking surrounding its star-shaped surface area. Just northeast of the baseball park lie 10 multipurpose flex fields meant for soccer and other sports, each featuring artificial turf. A playground, pavilion, open green space, concessions, volleyball courts and more are available between the baseball and multipurpose fields.
