The Valley of the Sun, with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, attracts some of the biggest names in fitness races. In Chandler, female runners participate each February SHE Power Half Marathon and 5K in Downtown Chandler.  This event empowers women of all ages and abilities and celebrates that can-do-attitude shared by determined women.  With sunny days, blue skies and mild winter temperatures, the SHE Power Half Marathon & 5K is a an excellent add-on to a fantastic girls weekend in Chandler, AZ.

Chandler is located minutes away from competitive races including the P.F. Chang's Rock-N-Roll Marathon each January and triathletes will want to hit the streets and Tempe Town Lake each November for the Iron Man Triathlon.  

The great thing about participation sports, there are all many 5K and assorted walks and runs that will put a spring in your step and maintain your active, healthy lifestyle.  So if longer distances aren't your style, there are plenty of 5K running and walking events in Chandler.
