The Myriad Botanical Gardens & Crystal Bridge Conservatory is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15-acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City. A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.

What started as a beautiful spring morning, quickly turned to chaos and confusion. Follow the journey all the way through the justice process, including the hope and healing evolving from the tenderness of the response and the tough lessons learned that changed our way of life through such trying times.

RIVERSPORT is your passport to outdoor adventure in Oklahoma City with locations downtown, at Lake Overholser and Lake Hefner. In the Boathouse District located just south of Bricktown, you’ll find whitewater rafting and tubing, surfing, and indoor snow skiing. They have a bike park with pumptracks and a mountain bike skills trail. They also have expanded to offer a new Trailhead store and facility at the bike park. Additional adventures include a six-story Sky Trail course, climbing, jumping and a zip line across the river and back.

Bird watchers treasure Lake Hefner as one of the best locations in central Oklahoma. Dozens of water bird species stop along the 17-mile shoreline during their annual migrations through America's central flyway. Lake Hefner is an excellent lake for sailing and weekend sailboat races are held from April to October. Facilities for picnicking and fishing also are available. No camping or swimming allowed.
