The Founders Club at Pawleys Island earned distinction as Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year in 2011 by the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association. In both 2009 and 2011, the Founders Club was deemed one of the 30 Best Courses You can Play in South Carolina by the South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel.

Our 18-hole, Par 72 course was constructed by former Gary Player lead designer Thomas Walker atop Gene Hamm’s original flat course at the former Sea Gull Golf Club, which dates back to 1966 and was the fourth oldest course in the Grand Strand. Although this is a difficult course, with 5 tees you can enjoy a relaxing game or challenge yourself. The strategic nature of the course will bring you back time after time to try out a different plan of attack.
