Bald Eagle State Park is a natural gem nestled in the picturesque landscapes of central Pennsylvania. Spanning 5,900 acres and situated along the shores of the stunning Bald Eagle Lake, the park offers a multitude of recreational activities. Visitors can explore its scenic trails for hiking and biking, enjoy boating and fishing on the expansive lake, and even go wildlife watching in the park's diverse ecosystems. Additionally, the park has a 1,730-acre Sayers Reservoir, boasting 23 miles of shoreline and offering excellent warmwater fishing. Common species include crappie, yellow perch, tiger muskellunge, channel catfish, and largemouth and smallmouth bass. It's worth noting that the lake is a panfish enhancement waterway, with special regulations in place to help maintain its thriving aquatic ecosystem. During the winter, about 630 acres are available for ice fishing.
