Moon Point Trail

Moon Point Trail leads the hiker to a unique area known for its botanical variety and habitat diversity. The trail crosses wet and dry meadows, rocky cliffs, and passes beneath high-elevation conifers. This area is like a magnet for wildlife, so remain alert if you wish to hear or see them.

Moon Point was once the site of a fire lookout. From here enjoy the view of the Middle Fork Ranger District and the Umpqua National Forest.

This trail connects with the Youngs Rock Trail. These trails, with Road 2129 and 21 combine to make a very popular ride for daring, in-shape mountain bikers.
