Land of Lincoln Junior Olympic Softball

The Land of Lincoln Junior Olympic Softball Complex, known as UIS Athletics West, boasts six main softball fields and an additional four fields to make it one of the largest in the midwest.

Field # 4 is the official diamond of the Prairie Stars with fences right at 200 feet across the outfield. It received a facelift in 2015 with the addition of a batting cage and a new infield as well as power directly behind the home plate.

The crushed limestone infield on every diamond makes rain delays go by faster and each field offers bleacher seating. Most fans have come to realize that a light folding chair or fuzzy blanket, along with a large umbrella for those unknown showers, provides the best seat in the house.
