The Battling Bishop men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball teams all play their home games on the court in Branch Rickey Arena. And OWU's intramural athletes also use the facility for their own Bishop battles.

Rickey Area, which opened in time for the 1976-77 season, is named after 1904 OWU graduate Branch Rickey, who partnered with Jackie Robinson to break Major League Baseball's color barrier in the 1940s.

The arena is part of the larger Rickey Center, which also includes four racquetball courts and a spinning area with stationary bikes.
