Sam Suplizio Field

Sam Suplizio Stadium is the home of the Grand Junction Rockies, the Junior College World Series of Baseball, CMU’s champion baseball team and a number of local high school teams. The stadium has been host to numerous regional and national tournaments.

Owned by the City of Grand Junction, Suplizio Field opened in 1949. Thanks to an $8.3 million renovation in 2012, it’s one of the premier baseball venues in the country. A full-time maintenance staff and Grand Junction’s climate, which is suited for baseball, help ensure that the playing surface is second-to-none.

The stadium affords fans a spectacular view from anywhere in the park. Suspended backstop netting was recently installed for unobstructed views of the field. The 8,000 seat stadium also offers modern concession areas, a state-of-the-art press box and unique chair-back seating. A beautiful video board, displaying replays, video highlights, advertising, player information and more, was installed in 2017.

Suplizio Field’s dugouts were recently expanded to minor league size specifications, and locker rooms provide athletes with first-class preparation areas.

Suplizio Field shares a hospitality suite and two-story press box with the adjacent Stocker Stadium. This space is available for meetings, parties, receptions, private events and more.
