Dr. Pepper Ballpark, located at 7300 RoughRiders Trail, opened to the public in 2003 and was soon awarded the "Best New Ballpark Award" from BaseballParks.com.
In 2015, the ballpark received a new HD video board, upgraded sound system, revamped team store, and new food and beverage facilities, among other enhancements. In 2016, the 174-foot long, 68,000 gallon Choctaw Lazy River was installed in the park.
When the project was announced in 2002, the stadium was part of a $300 million dollar public-privately funded project, which included the Dallas Stars training headquarters and practice facility, a gymnastics center, a hotel and convention center, as well as residential, retail and office space.
