About Sperling Sports Complex

The Sperling Sports Complex was dedicated April 11, 1987, in honor of DeLand's first Parks and Recreation Department Director, Thomas W. Sperling. The complex includes a full-size baseball field with a Class A lighting system for night play and a computerized scoreboard. The complex also houses three lighted softball fields, three soccer/football fields, a batting cage, a baseball practice field, an all-purpose practice field, a press box, restrooms, and a concession stand.
