Irving Park offers a unique mix of recreation. Battle Creek’s sister city, Takasaki, is honored with a Japanese Garden and cherry trees on the edge of Irving Park Pond. There’s also a popular disc golf course, horseshoe pits, paved walking paths and play structures.

It’s also a hot spot for geese, but the city asks that you don’t share your picnic with them. The park is located at the northwest corner of North Avenue and Emmett Street.

The mission of the Calhoun County Visitors Bureau is to enhance the Battle Creek/Calhoun County economy through tourism – to position and sell our community, in partnership with public and private sectors, as a premier destination for competitive sporting events, conventions, tradeshows, corporate meetings, group tours, and individual leisure travel.

Battle Creekis a leading destination for regional and national amateur sporting events including a variety of Michigan High School Athletic Association state finals, national wrestling and gymnastics events, and baseball and softball World Series tournaments.
