Pearlgate Track and Field Complex was constructed in 1988 for the Newfoundland & Labrador Summer Games. It combines the best features for recreation, training, competition, and community events. These features include: an eight lane, 400 meter polyurethane surface, concrete throwing circles, polyurethane areas and runways for high jump, long jump, pole vault and javelin.
The two story adjacent multi-purpose building includes washrooms and shower facilities, first aid room and storage room. Upstairs the multi-purpose room can accommodate up to 100 and is available for private rentals, workshops, receptions, etc. It has washrooms and kitchen facilities and a large patio overlooking the track and field.
