Virginia's first urban cidery, Blue Bee Cider is now located near Libbie Mill Midtown on Bethlehem Rd. Blue Bee Cider produces seasonal artisanal ciders, pressing apples when they are ripe in the fall, fermenting them over the winter and bottling them for sale in the spring. The name for Blue Bee Cider is derived from a common name for one of Virginia's native bees, osmia lignaria, or the blue orchard bee. These hardworking bees are solitary and wild, emerging early in the cool spring just in time to pollinate cider apple blossoms. Tasting Room Open: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wed. - Fri., 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sat. and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Our goal is to showcase the enormous bounty of Virginia, by becoming a stage for local farmers, fishermen, and artisans. Shagbark will also bring the community together around the table…a table with a history but also an enormous amount of beauty. This history provides a base from which everything else in the future is possible. “Stay rooted but branch out." Shagbark is offering curbside 'heat and eat' family style meals for pick up Thursday Friday and Saturday afternoons between 4pm -7pm. We also offer retail priced wines for pickup and will be adding 'togo' cocktails now that ABC has allowed this option. Roy's Big Burger

RVC is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1981 to meet the demand for recreational volleyball in the Central Virginia area. More than 1800 adult members play in leagues that run throughout the year and more than 600 junior players ages 7-18 participate in our junior programs. Between our two sites (RVC Byrdhill and RVC Stonebridge), we have 20 courts and our facilities include a cafe, weights room, game room, and showers.

We’re a community of runners, hikers, bikers and ballplayers. We’re an outdoor playground, designed by Mother Nature, with class III and IV rapids running right through our downtown.
