Golf Course
Covington Links uses all of the natural surroundings in an imaginative and challenging fashion.
Four holes lie next to the Missouri river, and ponds come into play on nine holes.
Towering cottonwoods and a variety of other trees, including willows, Russian olives, ash, and evergreens line the fairways. The fairways and rough are a mix of bluegrass and ryegrass.
One of the most difficult holes is the lengthy 16th. With a perfect drive, you are left with a long approach shot around a cottonwood that overhangs the right side of the fairway.
A fun aspect of the course is its unorthodox arrangement with four par 5's on the front nine.
Covington Links ranks as one the most scenic and variety-filled courses in Nebraska.
