Augustana University - Elmen Center

The Elmen Center houses the recreation, athletic and physical education departments. Since opening in February 1989, Augustana students, staff and faculty, as well as the Sioux Falls community and region, have enjoyed attending a wide variety of events in the facility. Each year the Elmen Center is host to more than 100 events consisting of athletic contests, music events, youth rallies, lectures, swim meets, youth camps, clinics and tournaments.

The Elmen Center also serves as the core facility for the campus recreational sports and fitness activities. The 81,000-square-foot-facility is available more than 110 hours each week for a variety of recreational activities. Augustana students, staff and faculty may take advantage of a 25-yard swimming pool, two racquetball courts, the Hall Sports Forum, six locker rooms, two dry saunas, classrooms, a state-of-the-art training facility and a multi-purpose/wrestling room that can be used for aerobic dance, martial arts and wrestling. The Hall Forum features a 27,000 square foot performance area has a state-of-the art 176-yard running track, long jump pit and four multi-use courts.
