About Farmingdale State College

The indoor physical education and athletic facility named George E. Nold Hall was built in 1972 and the interior renovation was complete in January of 2014. It encompasses 94,000 square feet with a seating capacity in the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center of over 4,000.

In January of 2017, the Rams gymnasium was renovated featuring wood flooring for the main basketball and volleyball court, surrounded by synthetic flooring with a 10- lap-to-the-mile track. The synthetic surface also hosts two practice basketball and volleyball courts. The gymnasium serves as the home for men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball and the men's and women's track teams. Also included in the renovation were three Daktronics LED scoreboards, a 19-foot Daktronics scorers table and Nickerson Corporation bleachers with seating for 3,000 plus (including endline movable bleachers to complete a wrap-around arena-type effect for games).

The outdoor facilities at the college include six all-weather tennis courts, a 20 station golf driving range, an outdoor track/lacrosse/soccer complex, a softball field, and baseball stadium.

The Farmingdale State Baseball Stadium was completed in 2005. The state-of-the-art FieldTurf facility includes lights and 1,000 capacity seating.

The Farmingdale State softball field features new dugouts, scoreboard in center field, a revamped warning track and bleachers behind the backstop.

The Outdoor Track/Lacrosse/Soccer complex was completed in October 2008, a synthetic-turf lacrosse/soccer field surrounded by an eight-lane outdoor track is the new home to both the men’s and women’s teams. The surface of Rams Field is FieldTurf©, one of the leading synthetic surfaces in use by professional and major-college teams across the country
