About McArthur Island Park

Centrally located in Kamloops’ sunny North Shore is McArthur Island Park (MIP), a sport mecca and central hub of leisure activities. This purpose-built facility features something for everyone, from beautiful walking trails and butterfly gardens, to award winning sport facilities, a disc golf course, and a skateboard park.

The Park is serviced by multiple concessions, washrooms facilities, and has a ring road around the entire perimeter that boasts over 1200 parking stalls. This site is also home to 3 high performance training groups, and over 15 sport organizations, several of which are elite level, and the Kamloops Sports Council.

McArthur Island is the ideal location for any level baseball competition, with 13 perfectly manicured fields just waiting to host your next tournament.

Norbock Stadium is the centerpiece of baseball at McArthur Island. Named the 2018 Field of the Year and home to the Kamloops NorthPaws, this professional sized baseball field seats 1,500 and provides a one of a kind experience for players and spectators alike.

Norbrock underwent upgrades in 2021 which included a new roof, infield (baselines, shale, turf and irrigation), sound system, spectator safety netting, and dressing room improvements. Norbrock has onsite change rooms, washrooms, a concession, and ample parking for games.

McArthur Island Park is considered the “center” of soccer activity in Kamloops. The Park features nine regulation size and one Super-8 natural grass soccer field on the 51 hectare island. The fields on McArthur Island are some of the best in the province and play host to numerous tournaments each year. By 2026, all of the fields are scheduled to be redone, ensuring McArthur Island continues to be a top-tier soccer venue.

McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre (MISEC) is one of our busiest and most sought after facility. It is a multi-purpose building that is host to numerous local organizations including hockey, lacrosse, curling, speed skating, sledge hockey, and more.

In addition to being one of our premier sporting facilities, MISEC also plays host to multiple tradeshows and ceremonies throughout the year, and has all the amenities to ensure an unforgettable athlete and spectator experience.
