FUJI BJJ presents our 2027 Kansas City Jiu Jitsu Expo!

Last year, we bet big on the Midwest Jiu-Jitsu community and you proved us right. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made our first Kansas City Jiu Jitsu Expo an incredible success! Your support means everything to us. We’re coming back for 2027 with even bigger goals, deeper brackets, and a commitment to making this the premier annual gathering for Jiu-Jitsu in the heart of America. Let’s do it again!

**TOURNAMENT DETAILS:** 

### This is a two day event.

#### Day 1 (Saturday):

-Male - Adult/Master Divisions - Gi & Nogi (16+)

#### Day 2 (Sunday):

##### -Female - Adult/Master Divisions - Gi & Nogi (16+)

-Kids Divisions - Gi & Nogi (4-15)

Early weigh-ins are available for Day 1 competitors on Friday from 6pm to 7pm.

##### Early weigh-ins are available for Day 2 competitors on Saturday from noon to 3pm.

**Format:** Depending on the bracket size we offer best of three, round robin, and modified double elimination brackets to ensure everyone gets more than one match.

**Age Standards:** Age 4 and Up

Early Bird registration deadline: 05 Dec (11:59 pm)

Normal registration deadline: 02 Jan (11:59 pm)

Late registration deadline: 12 Jan (11:59 pm)

Check Day (last day to change weight without fee) is the Wednesday before the event.

Merging of uncontested divisions will happen the Wednesday before the event.

The schedule will be published the Thursday before the event.

Early weigh-ins are available for Day 1 competitors on Friday from 6pm to 7pm.

Doors Open/Weigh-ins begin: Day of event (8:00 am)

Matches Begin: Both Days (9:00 am)

You have up to one hour to weigh-in prior to the start of your division. Please update and check Smoothcomp as times may change based on bracket restructuring or how fast/slow the competition is going.

## SPECTATOR FEE:

$20 - All passes are water resistant and good for both days!

Kids 12 & under are free.

**Each academy will receive at least 1 free coaches pass. The amount of free passes depends on how many students from that academy are registered for the event. At least 1 free pass per 5 students will be available. Coaches do not need to message in before the event.**

2027 FUJI BJJ KANSAS CITY JIU-JITSU EXPO

The FUJI Jiu-Jitsu Championships is a nation-wide tournament series. FUJI BJJ was founded by Royler Gracie Black Belt and Pan American Champion, JW Wright. JW has been hosting jiu-jitsu events for over 15 years throughout the Midwest. 

FUJI BJJ currently has ten regions throughout the United States and we are partnered with some of the best competitors and academies around!

Centrally located, the multi-purpose, state-of-the-art 5,800-seat arena is the premier entertainment destination of Eastern Jackson County. The arena is home to the Mavericks of the ECHL, the Comets of the MASL, and has hosted a multitude of concerts by internationally recognized artists such as Zac Brown Band, Miranda Lambert, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Adam Sandler, Alan Jackson and Billie Eilish.
