Father David Bauer Arena Opened in 1963, the Father David Bauer Arena is home to the Dinos men’s and women’s hockey teams, and the Western Hockey League head offices. Hockey games are played on an Olympic-sized ice surface (200’ x 100’) and has a seating capacity for 1750, with extra room for standing spectators. The rink features a concession on game nights, as well as vending machines throughout the venue.

Hawkings Field Opened in September 2004, Hawkings Field is the home of the Dinos field hockey team. This state-of-the-art venue, which was renovated in August 2018, is the premier location for amateur field hockey in the Calgary area. The project was a joint initiative between the University of Calgary and Field Hockey Alberta.

Jack Simpson Gym The Jack Simpson Gymnasium was built in the leadup to the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. In conjunction with the Faculty of Kinesiology expansion and the construction of an indoor speed-skating oval, CANA Construction’s massive undertaking took place without the disruption of existing facilities on the University of Calgary campus.

The Jack Simpson Gymnasium, which serves as headquarters for the Dinos basketball and volleyball teams, has hosted national championships and provincial high school showcases. And, every year, thousands of University of Calgary graduates grace the gym’s stage during convocation ceremonies.

McMahon Stadium One of the fastest major construction projects in western Canada (100 days), the 35,000-seat McMahon Stadium welcomed the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders and 20,000 fans on August 15, 1960. The Stadium replaced the much smaller Mewata Park Stadium. It takes its name from brothers Frank and George McMahon who donated $300,000 to the university and the citizens of Calgary, and guaranteed the balance of money for the stadium’s construction.

Dinosaur Field Opened in 2018, Dinosaur Field became the full-time home of the Dinos soccer programs in 2019. Located immediately west of the Olympic Oval and just east of Hawkings Field, adjacent to parking lot 9 (and labelled on maps as 'Field 2'), the former football practice field hosts an intimate, cozy setting to watch the beautiful game.

Olympic Oval The Olympic Oval is a legacy facility of the 1988 Olympic Games. It is a place where Olympic dreams come true and athletes are put in a position to achieve their personal best. An important and integral part of the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Kinesiology; the Oval is a speed-skating facility, a research facility for UCalgary kinesiology scholars, a training facility for varsity athletes and a public facility to serve the University community.

UCalgary Aquatic Centre The University of Calgary’s Aquatic Centre is complemented by an Olympic-sized pool and a diving centre, which is the home of the Dinos men’s and women’s swim teams. The centre on campus is one of Canada’s premier training facilities and is home to a number of Canadian Olympians including Mark Tewksbury, Curtis Myden and Joanne Malar. The aquatic centre is available to the general public, students, staff and alumni.
