Ringwood Forest is the most ruggedly beautiful of all of our parks. The 160 acres include some of Michigan's oldest forest plantations. The park has three miles of trails for nature lovers, hikers and cross country skiers. Beautiful towering pine forests, hilly terrain, fishing access and canoe launch on the Bad River. The parks also houses a pavilion available on a first come first serve basis along with a playground and pit toilets.

Go Great Lakes Bay in Michigan  is a regional CVB representing  Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties in east central Michigan.

We boast excellent facilities and a great resume in hosting small to large scale sporting events.  Our region is easily accessible and affordable. With over 5,000 hotels rooms and ample meeting space, we can accommodate all sizes of events. 

We feature impressive sports facilities including the Greater Midland Tennis Center -the largest tennis center in the Midwest, the Midland Curling Center, The Dow Event Center which is home to the OHL Saginaw Spirit Hockey team and Dow Diamond home to the Great Lakes Loons High-A affiliate of the Los Angelos Dodgers. Due to the benefit of having over 50 soccer fields, over 30 softball/baseball fields, 6 sheets of ice, 8 bowling centers, and numerous golf courses, we have hosted a number of high-profile events – youth, amateur and professional. We are home to the Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron (1,147 square miles), one of the top-rated fisheries in the US and host to dozens of amateur and professional fishing tournaments (Bass & Walleye)

Professional partnership tournaments include the Dow Tennis Classic (WTA), The Dow Championship (LPGA) Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour, Cabela’s Walleye Tour, National Professional Fishing League tour, Bassmaster’s, USBC State Bowling Championships, and the Collegiate National Curling Championships.  For the first time, in 2025, we will host an APP tour event with over 1,200 Pickleball players in attendance.

Due to our great corporate support and communities that value sports tourism, we have a very strong and experienced volunteer force in the Great lakes Bay Region. 

Along with great facilities available to a variety of sports, we partner with three area colleges to bring sporting events to the region – Northwood University, Saginaw Valley State University and Delta College.
