Southeast Metropolitan Park

Southeast Metropolitan Park is a community friendly park with athletic fields, playgrounds, exercise trails, and a little-known two-mile primitive hiking trail with views of the countryside and the city skyline. Perhaps the gem of the park is a 3 mile primitive hiking trail which meanders its way through forested steep hills and valleys, and offers a glimpse of downtown Austin from ridge tops. The trail skirts two ponds and Onion Creek, providing opportunities for wildlife viewing, fishing (catch and release only), and bird watching.
