Cajun Coast Boat Launches

The Cajun Coast is famous for great fishing year round and has hosted numerous professional fishing and water sport tournaments. Anglers find saltwater fishing on inside waters and offshore, including speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. Freshwater fishing is also plentiful with the Atchafalaya Basin, offering spectacular bass fishing, a variety of panfish, such as bream and sac-a-lait, as well as an abundance of catfish. To the south, we offer the world's best shallow water marsh fishing in the 25 miles from the Intracoastal Waterway to the Gulf. Over 20 boat launches are available throughout the parish: several include floating docks, electricity, ample parking, restroom facilities, and areas for weigh-ins. Facilities are also available for registration, meals, and briefings.
