Although VR&PC is a private club and is closed to the general public, matches and events are open to the public and guests are welcome to be invited and accompanied by club members. NRA Membership is required.

The outdoor Virginia Gun Club is located north of Virginia, MN, near the Laurentian Divide. Sight-in days for hunters are open as a public service. The club also has an indoor shooting range in Eveleth, where carry permit classes are held and the Junior Rifle Club practices and competes.

Club matches include Cowboy Action, Black Powder, DCM, Small Bore, MOA, Steel-Action, and Buffalo Long-Range.
