Prospect Wire Baseball

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud to announce that the 2026 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Celebration, presented by the Orange Bowl, will take place on December 7th at the Hilton West Palm Beach. The event will mark the 35th anniversary of the prestigious award, celebrating three and a half decades of recognizing excellence among the nation’s top collegiate place-kickers.

In addition to honoring the three national finalists for the Lou Groza Award, Palm Beach County high school football teams, athletes, and coaches will be recognized with Team of the Year, Player of the Year, Place-Kicker of the Year, and Coach of the Year awards.

The night will kick off at 6:00 PM with a cocktail reception and a silent auction that promises autographed memorabilia and unique experiences. At 7:00 p.m., the dinner and award program will begin. Theo Dorsey of ESPN West Palm will serve as the emcee for the event. Tickets will be available soon for purchase.

Consisting of three handicap-accessible venues—The Murray, Meyer, & Rochelle Grodetsky Family Foundation Athletic Center, The Gleneagles Country Club Aquatic Center, and the Fountains Country Club Recreation Center—The Club Managers Association of America Therapeutic Recreation Complex is committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families. The Athletic Center gymnasium, at 2,500 square feet with a capacity of 555, can accommodate wheelchair rugby, goalball, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, martial arts and power lifting for those with special needs. The 9,760-square-foot pool in the Aquatic Center is divided into six lanes with handicap lifts.
