About St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

in 1924 a small group of shuffleboard players organized what they called the "St. Petersburg Mirror Lake Park Shuffleboard Club", the first strictly shuffleboard club in the world; in time it became the largest club of its kind in the world.

Now just called the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club, the 32 lighted courts (65 total) were featured in the movie Cocoon while an amazing old grandstand is a reminder of how popular a spectator sport shuffleboard was.
