Capital City Family BMX Track at Gier Park

Located on Lansing's north side near expressways, entertainment, lodging, and a dozen affordable dining options. Bleacher seating at each of the three fields will accommodate up to 100 spectators. All dugouts are fenced. Adjacent practice fields are ideal for warm-up areas. Ample on-site parking will accommodate approximately 500 vehicles. The park is handicapped-accessible. Electronic scoreboard system.Concession and restroom structure on site.Convenient access to water. The venue is also home to the area's only sanctioned BMX biking course. In addition to BMX, this facility can accommodate baseball and softball. This facility is great for tournaments and special events.

Gier Park- Capital City Family BMX

Located in the popular Lake Lansing corridor, this multi-purpose, membership-based athletic club includes aerobics, basketball, swimming, tennis, and fitness facilities. Ideally suited for tennis and other hardcourt sports events, Court One is also convenient to the expressway, shopping, dining, and first-rate lodging options. The facility can also accommodate; basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, baseball, golf, roller derby, badminton, martial arts, pickleball, dance, stunt, futsal, gymnastics, and more. This facility is great for tournaments and special events.

The MTEC Center offers meeting and banquet facilities with seating for up to 240 attendees. Each seminar room has state of the art AV equipment. The Amphitheatre includes boardroom seating and wireless capabilities for 102 guests. Ozone's Brewhouse in Old Town is creating liquid art! IPA's, Porter's and Stout's are available. Signature beers such as the Kryptonale Cherry Vanilla Amber and Sage of Ales Cream provide a unique mainstay list. Twelve taps, six of which will rotate in new beers every two weeks, provide a new taste opportunity each visit. Ask about the mug club. Captain’s Wööd-fired Pies are available on site. The Plant Professionals, Inc

A fine example of Classical Revival architecture, the Turner-Dodge mansion is a National Historic Registered Place. The beautifully restored home was built in 1858 by James and Marion Turner, who helped establish the Capital City. The home was recently restored to the turn-of-the-19th-century period and is maintained by the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department as a Cultural Heritage Center. A fine example of Classic Revival architecture, the Turner-Dodge House is a must-visit National Historic Registered Place in Lansing, Michigan.

Built in 1858 by pioneer leaders James and Marion Turner, who helped establish the Capital City, this beautifully restored home features classic 19th-century artisanship.   
  
Now carefully maintained by the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department, the estate welcomes visitors for historical tours, community events, and private rentals along the Grand River.

**What are the hours of operation?**

The Turner-Dodge House is open Tuesdays through Thursdays, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

**Are there tours available?**

Guided tours of the house are available during regular hours, and tours for 10 or more may be scheduled outside of regular hours. Guided tours are $10 per person. Mitten Kitten 2026 Slash Up XIII

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
