Bixler Lake Park surrounds the 117-acre lake, providing unique outdoor recreation and education opportunities. Circling the lake is a pedestrian walkway and nature trail with observation platforms perfect for observing wildlife. Six open-air pavilions are available for reservation, and numerous playgrounds provide fun for children. Fishing, boating, and swimming are popular activities. Kayaks are rentable through the Bixler Lake Campground office (seasonal; call 260-242-6898.) Other facilities include a lighted softball field, campground, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Hours are from 7am-10:30pm.
