Buckroe Beach

You’ll find yourself going for the sports and staying in the sunshine at any of Hampton’s world-class beaches. Buckroe Beach & Park has a lot to offer, with nearly a mile of beach grounds!

Here, you can soak up the sun on paddleboats or kayaks, beach volleyball courts or bike trails. Teams can rent picnic shelters and attend live performances at the stage pavilion in the evening. Outlook Beach, known as Fort Monroe’s public beach, is another fantastic option. Visitors will have access to scenic views of the water from all angles and beaches that stretch for miles.

If fishing is your goal, then the James T Wilson Fishing Pier is the place to be. This 475-acre preserve covering the Chesapeake Bay is filled with diverse wetlands such as creeks, marshes, and waterways for fishing. All participants need a license in order to hit the waters.
