Spring Creek Nature Trails

The Spring Creek Forest Preserve provides mixed-use, paved trail and off-road trail options that cruise along a large creek area with areas for picnicking, hiking and biking. This 68.8 acre forest preserve is the second phase of three that will soon connect various neighborhoods and amenities: the Spring Creek Trail, Winters Park, Hawaiian Falls, and the Curtis Culwell GISD Events Center. Located between Holford Road and North Garland Avenue, Spring Creek Forest Preserve provides parking, restrooms, a picnic pavilion and a scenic tour through the Nature Preserve which possesses some of the oldest trees in Dallas County.

According to the Trails Master Plan, the Spring Creek Harris Trail, Spring Creek Forest Preserve, and the Spring Creek Trail will all connect, which will eventually be around a 5-mile trail.

Spring Creek Park Trail – 2.1 (mi) of shared-use paved and natural surface trails.

Harris section – 0.8 (mi) of shared-use paved and natural surface trails, located west of the preserve and can be accessed at N. Shiloh Road between Campbell Road and Mapleridge Drive.
