About Armstrong Park

Rededicated in Spring 2000, this beautifully landscaped park is named in honor of astronaut and Purdue alumnus, Neil Armstrong. Located on the south side of Lafayette, the 30-acre park has quickly become a favorite destination for residents and families. Fishing is permitted on site; all state regulations apply for fishers.

Armstrong Park Features
- 2/3 mile paved trail
- 3 Youth baseball fields
- 5 lighted tennis courts
- Lighted basketball courts
- Open green space and wildflower areas
- Public restrooms

Castaway Bay
An adventure is waiting for you at Castaway Bay! A beach-like entry, water basketball
and a bubble bench are just a few of the features that make up the aquatic center at
Armstrong Park. Pool rental is available after hours.

Rental Facilities
There is one shelter available to rent at Armstrong Park. This shelter can seat 50 people
comfortably and can be rented for a fee of $75.00. The shelter is located next to the
softball fields.
