Le Chat Gourmet Culinary Arts offers a wide selection of "hands-on" cooking classes for cooks of all levels of experience, from casual beginners to serious foodies. Class size is limited permitting each student to receive personal training from the chef while actively participating from food prep to the final plate presentation. The cooking school, located north of Eaton Rapids, Michigan just 15 minutes south of Lansing, offers a state-of-the-art classroom kitchen and gourmet cookware shop. Burchfield County Park is 540 acres of natural beauty and recreation space. The park and natural area feature canoe/kayak trips on the Grand River, summer nature camp for kids, weekend swimming, disc golf, playgrounds, picnic areas and shelters, an extensive boardwalk and fishing docks on the pond, sand volleyball, softball diamond, and six miles of hiking trails and 12 miles of mountain bike trails. Winter brings cross country ski trails, ski rental and sledding hills. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

William M. Burchfield Park/Riverbend Nature Area

Located just a few miles southwest of Lansing, the Alliance Lake Softball Complex is set in the community of Potterville, with plenty of nearby options for dining and lodging. Those seeking shopping, or even more to see and do, need only head a few minutes, back north and explore Delta Township, Greater Lansing's West Side. This facility offers bleacher seating for over 500 spectators. There is ample on-site parking with a capacity for over 500 vehicles. All dugouts are fenced. The facility is handicapped-accessible. Electronic scoreboards and playing field lighting are available for all four fields. Capability for full concessions. The facility offers convenient access to water. The facility accommodates; baseball, softball, disc golf, and motor sports. This facility is great for tournaments and special events.

Lake Alliance Softball Complex

We host all kinds of corporate events, banquets, special occasions, and parties. We offer several different spaces to make a perfect fit for your occasion. Our main banquet room seats up to 200, smaller party rooms up to 32, or our outdoor pavilion can easily host your event. Take advantage of the golf course with a small golf outing before or after an occasion. Our small party rooms feature a private entrance with a lobby, a room that can seat up to 32 guests with an adjoining room that can be used for a buffet or an additional guest area. These rooms are perfect for luncheons, showers, small parties, open houses or any smaller gathering.

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
