Gorman Park

Gorman Park, located on the Coosa River, is a joint venture with shared financing between Shelby County and the City of Vincent. Shelby County provided site engineering, contracted for site preparation, and built/contracted all of the park's amenities, while the City of Vincent maintains the park. The park contains a paved boat launch with parking for nine truck/trailers, an adjacent launch pier, a fishing pier, and a group pavilion for large gatherings. An onsite caretaker provides security for the park. The park contains a canoe-in campsite as part of the Alabama Scenic River Trail.
