With 4.8 acres, this Tukwila park was dedicated on July 13, 2000. With the help of a Community Development Block Grant, federally funded through King County, the City added play equipment and a paved path to provide handicapped access to the park and playground. Park improvements also include irrigation, fencing and a large grassy area. This is a passive, open neighborhood park for families and is located at the site of the old Tukwila Community Center. Angle Lake Park, a 10 acre lake-front park, is the perfect place to cool off in the summer. Swimming, boating, and fishing are fun activities for the entire family. Red Tricycle Spray Park Review:  Hands down we think this is the coolest spray park south of the Ship Canal. The central point of this King of All That Is spray park is a 50-gallon, bright red bowl--accurately named the Mega Splasher--that slowly, silently fills with water, 20 feet above teenagers and tots alike. As the bowl fills, watch the braver kiddos begin to line up under its splash zone, and then get ready for the tidal wave—the bowl slowly tips, and those carefully collected gallons of water wash down towards the sea of kid-manity, completely drenching the ones who dared to stay. It’s great entertainment for you and a cool thrill for the bravest of splashers.  Besides the awesomely entertaining Mega Splasher--the only one in Washington--there are smaller tipping bowls that also spin by kid power, a spray circle, spray guns and various gentle ground sprayers, including four “flowers” that send a sweet spray two feet in the air, and can be turned on with little toes. The spray area is surrounded by a low cement wall, perfect for parents to sip their iced lattes and steer clear of the sun. This nine-acre park is divided into three separate areas. The upper area, formerly known as Upper Foster Park, contains a small baseball field. The lower portion of the park contains a softball field, a tennis court and a basketball court. The third area has a baseball field, picnic shelter, playground equipment, restroom, and paved pathway.

Joseph Foster Memorial Park

The Interurban Trail runs through Tukwila, Kent, Auburn, Algona, and Pacific along a near-straight 14 mile-long route beside the historic Interurban Rail Line. The alignment crosses a wide variety of landscapes, providing views of many regional sites and activities. The landscape passes through historic industrial areas and suburban lands while following the BESF railroad south, before crossing through the broad Green River Valley. The trail provides access to the Southcenter area, Renton Junction, downtown Kent, Emerald Downs in Auburn, and the communities of Algona and Pacific. The Interurban is an excellent north-south off-road, nonmotorized route and is popular with local commuters and biking enthusiasts. Access and parking are provided at numerous locations along the trail.
