About Carmalita Park

Carmalita Park was built on 56 acres in 1975. The park was funded by Parks and Rec Impact Fees and Ad Valorem Taxes. The park is home to the Charlotte Warriors Pop Warner football team, Charlotte BMX, Charlotte County Softball Association, Punta Gorda Softball Association, Charlotte County Men's Morning Senior Softball League, and Charlotte County 60+ Men's Senior Softball League.

The Captain Don Cerbone Memorial Skate Park is a shining example of a community project made possible by the determination and commitment of private citizens, the generosity of the business community, and the support of local government.
