PLNU - Track & Soccer Field

The PLNU Track and Soccer Field at Point Loma Nazarene University is a dual-purpose athletic facility, serving as both the home venue for the university's track and field team and its men's and women's soccer teams. Located on the picturesque campus of PLNU in San Diego, the facility offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, making it one of the most scenic athletic venues in the region. The facility is designed to meet NCAA standards, providing a high-quality experience for athletes and fans alike.

The track and field area features an eight-lane track, designed for a variety of track events, including sprints, distance races, and hurdles. The track is surrounded by an infield that hosts field events such as the pole vault, long jump, and high jump. As part of an ongoing enhancement project, the track and infield have been reconfigured to better accommodate both track and soccer activities. This adaptation allowed the university to expand the soccer field and add improved facilities for both sports. The venue is also used for other events like community gatherings and meets.

The soccer field underwent a renovation in the summer of 2024, which included improvements to the playing surface with new sod, an upgraded irrigation system, and modifications to the field's layout. This ensures an optimal playing surface for the Sea Lions’ soccer teams. The field is situated within the track and field complex, providing a versatile space for soccer matches and various athletic events. Spectator seating is available, allowing fans to enjoy games while taking in the beautiful coastal views.
