Homestead Miami Speedway is a 650-acre facility. Host to NASCAR's championship races during Nascar Dixie Vodka 400 Weekend. Since 2002, the sport has crowned champions in each of its three premier series over the course of this three-day spectacle. The Speedway, which boasts a 2.21-mile road course, in addition to its 1.5-mile oval, is active for more than 280 days out of the year and includes racing of all different types. This consists of "Fast Lane Friday," in which car enthusiasts 18 years and older are able to enter their street-legal car to compete on the Speedway's 1/8-mile drag strip from 6 p.m. to midnight, typically on the first Friday of every month.
