The park is over 22 acres and is the location of several baseball fields and a playground. There is a walkway around the play area, beautiful shade trees to sit under, and permanent picnic tables. This park is the site of the annual Hometown Days Festival held on Labor Day weekend.

The Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the Aurora, Illinois, region as a premiere sports destination. The Aurora Area is home to some of the finest sports venues in the Midwest, including a 32 full-sized soccer field complex, Stuart Sports Complex.  Aurora is the second-largest city in Illinois, and has hosted many regional and national events. Because of these successes in hosting major sporting events, the AACVB created the Aurora Area Sports Alliance (AASA), a group comprised of sports organization representatives from the region to help facilitate all sporting events held in the Aurora Area.
